this is a deter in Ny, called mercantile... if you get a call from them they will say anything to get you to pay a det that they "may" have. Ask for validation of said det. they will most likely stop if the det is so old that the deter has give up.

This number calls multiple times every day (caller ID says Ramsey NJ). I did some research and found out they were a telemarketer hired by Google on-line business. They usually hang up as soon as I answer, but on the rare occassions I got a live person, I asked them to remove my number from their list and they continue to call. The calls became more frequent after that - today they have been calling every 15-20 minutes. The last time they called, I answered, told them to remove my name and that I had filed a report with the FCC. It's been almost an hour now and they haven't called. The website to file a complaint is http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm. It's pretty easy - I highly recommend it.

Received a call from this number today (11-16-08)on my home phone number and didn't answer. Immediately when the house phone stopped ringing, my husband's in-home office phone started ringing from same number. Didn't answer that either. Has to be some sort of telemarketing or pfishing because it obviously is going down a computerized phone book listing or something. Very weird. Thank goodness for Caller ID!

Some company telling me they can lower my interest rate. Said this was my last call. Asked to push 2 to discontinue call or push 1 to speak to an agent. I wanted off their call list as I am on the NO CALL registry. When Eric answered, I told him I wanted off the list because I did not know what this was about. He said it was about lowering credit card interest rates, I told him I was not interested and to take me off the list. He said "Mam, since you are being so nasty, I will not do that." and hung up on me.

It was a recorded message concerning automobile warranty about to expire and I should hold on the line for a representative to assist me. I hung up and called the number back and I got a recording saying that the number you have dialed it no longer in service. I received the call on my cell phone.

Has called several times this week including twice today after asking to have my name and number removed from their calling list. Supposedly if you press 3, it says it will remove you from their list. I did that and only received dead air after pressing 3. If you press 1, you talk to an operator who tries to sell you some digital equipment. I asked to remove my name and number and they are still calling me! I am also already on the do-not-call list!!

These people call every 2 hours. I have asked to be removed from their calling list. I called them back when a woman hung up on me and there was an automated message that said to press 1 to be removed from the list... Caller hangs up about 5-10 seconds into my greeting (office name, how can I help you). I have called the number and it says it is disconnected. The disconnected recording sounds slightly off though....
